A Remarkable Project logistics contribution for UN Climate change
First Global Logistics Egypt takes great pride in its contribution to the UN’s most significant event of 2022: the climate change conference, also known as COP 27, held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022
- Our dedicated team invested considerable effort in studying the project challenges, which included time-sensitive situations, obtaining governmental approvals, adhering to high-security transportation conditions, and ensuring the safety of the valuable cargo's nature.
- Our responsibility encompassed the transportation and delivery of all event equipment related to various Pavilions. We successfully managed the movement of these items from Cairo airport to the Sharm el-Sheikh Event Venue, with temporary customs clearance, and their subsequent return to their countries of origin, namely the EU, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
Scope of work:
- implementing a comprehensive multimodal transport and logistics model. This included air freight, temporary import clearance, road freight, unpacking, unloading, re-packing, storage, reloading, and replicating the same model for the return journey.
- Despite facing numerous challenges throughout the project, we are pleased to report that the cargo owners expressed complete satisfaction with our safe and punctual delivery, both for import and re-exports
