Schlumberger's 5 OOG Vehicles From Alexandria to Jebel Ali
First Global Logistics has succeeded to win a battle bid to handle the transportation of 5 Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Vehicles for Schlumberger Egypt. These vehicles have dimensions of 8.3 meters in length, 2.7 meters in width, and 3.4 meters in height, weighing 17,000 kilograms each. The task involved shipping them from the shipper’s warehouse in Alexandria, Egypt, to Jebel Ali port
- Our success was attributed to the innovative shipping plan we proposed, which differed from the shipper's standard Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) method typically used for vehicle transportation. Despite the convenience of RORO for vehicles, we conducted careful calculations and decided to present an alternative shipping plan based on utilizing five 40-foot OOG flat racks .

Scope of work:
- Pick up the 5 units from Schlumberger warehouse to Alex port
- Storage for the 5 Units in our yard inside the port
- Stuffing, lashing & securing the Units on 5*40'Flat rack containers .
- Trucking the containers from our Yard directly to be loaded on the intended vessel .
