GE Gas Turbine Project from Dammam to New York
General Electric, a highly esteemed and significant client in the global project and oversized cargo industry, has launched a bid for a Door to Port movement. The movement entails transporting 14 oversized pieces of gas turbine components and modules from the GE plant in Dammam to the New York port in the USA. Despite being located in Egypt, we received an invitation to provide a transport quotation for this project.
- The challenge we faced was that this project involved cross-trade, as it required transportation from one country to another without passing through our home base. However, leveraging our extensive experience and understanding of the Middle East area and market, we managed to secure the project successfully. We accomplished this by presenting a practical loading plan that minimized costs while ensuring the utmost safety for this valuable cargo during transportation

- No. of Pieces = 14 Pieces
- No. of Trailers Used : 13 Trailers
- Loading Plan was 10x40’FR OOG + 2x40’ OT OOG + 1x20’ GP
- Dimensions for 40'FR cntr = 9.9*2.9*2.6 Meter (21 tns each)
- Dimensions for 40'OT cntr= 9.2*1.6*3.9 Meter ( 11 tns each)
loading Plan
